Rainbow Vista's Postcards
"A Place Of Our Own"
Summer  2011
Greetings,

The sun is shinning and we are all happy to welcome
in the warm Summer weather. Here in Oregon, it has
been the second most wettest year in over 100 years.
Our rivers are swelling and the farmers crops are
lagging behind this year. There are no worries of
there being a drought this year, that is for sure.

Even in the rain, there has been a few new move-ins
over the last few months. PB arrived from Tennessee
and is settling in to his new home. Beverley also
moved in to Rainbow Vista. She is keeping busy
and feeling right at home.

Construction work is happening in Don
& Doug's soon-to-be apartment. When
they visited a few months ago, they made
their selection of apartments and decided to rent a
double studio. Currently living in California, Don
and Doug have their moving truck all booked and
the movers ready to help them with their belongings.
We are excited to have them here the end of July.

June is national Gay Pride Month and we celebrated
by attending Portland's Gay Pride Festival over the
Father's Day weekend. Although it was very wet on
Saturday, Sunday brought in a good crowd of
LGBTQ people and their supporters. PJ Raval and his
camera guy, Russell flew in to shoot some footage of
some of Rainbow Vista's residents walking in the
parade and of Rainbow Vista's booth at the
Waterfront Park.

Mike is out on the patio sunbathing right now.
Maybe I should go join him...

Till Next Season, Take care!
